Various models of the true Dremels, those from Sears and a few other
national merchandisers each have a maximum speed setting (some of them
don’t have more than that one speed, but it totally depends on the model as
to how many RPMs it cranks out).
After moving 3 yrs ago, I have not ever found my 2 grinders from sears,
rechargable 14V (I think). I gave up and bought what seemed like a decent
package deal from Lowe’s a few months ago. Lowest speed is 7000.
Dangerous !!! in more ways than one.
